Washington D.C.

We went to Washington D.C. for Spring Break and it was so much fun! On our way there, Eric saw a Cabela's and was so excited to go look around. I was a little annoyed at first because I didn't want to take the time, but Abbey was hungry and needed to stretch so I agreed to go as long as we made it quick. I didn't realize how cool Cabela's actually is and I think we stayed for an hour.

Abbey was able to walk around and look at all the animals - she loved it! Apparently ALL of the animals growl including the elephants, deers, boars, and birds - just ask Abbey, she knows!

We loved it so much the first time around, we stopped at Cabela's again on our way home!

On our way into D.C. we stopped at the temple, it is gorgeous! I was a little disappointed because it started raining before we left so we weren't able to go walk around the grounds of the temple - we just enjoyed it from a distance.

This is a great lookout point from the Arlington Cemetery. I really enjoyed going to the cemetery and walking around looking at ALL the graves. We were able to watch the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown, which was really neat. It makes you really appreciate all the soliders that give up so much to fight for our country.

The second day we were there, it was super windy and cold! We had to bundle Abbey up in her stroller and she was so good. I think she knew if she got out she was going to freeze, so she was perfectly happy to stay nice and warm. I wish I could have bundled up and snuggled in the stoller all day!

Here's the White House - too bad we have to take pictures from so far away, I really like this building.

The Lincoln Memorial.

The Capitol. We didn't actually walk to the Capitol because it was the end of the day and everyone was feeling a little tired and hungry. Don't you love the lovely fenced background?

Here's the fun group we went with - thank you so much for a great time!! We really enjoyed our trip and spending time with good friends!

It's A Girl!!!

Well, we had our ultrasound today and it's a girl!!! I was surprised, I really thought it was a boy. Eric said it was either a boy or a girl, we had a 50% chance either way. We are really excited to have another sweet baby girl!

Little foot.

Happy Birthday Abbey!

Abbey had a great birthday this year, although I think I probably enjoyed it more than she did! Her birthday was on March 13th, but we started celebrating early. There are 4 little cuties that were born within a week from each other so we got together on March 8th and had a birthday bash for them. It was so much fun, and I think the little girls enjoyed it too :) These are the four birthday girls that turned one this month. Katelyn, Abbey, Eve and Corrine. I don't think any of us got a picture of them all looking in the same direction at the same time.
Here they are enjoying their yummy cupcakes. Surprisingly, they all left the cute ladybug cake in the middle alone.

My mom and dad came to visit this last week, and we had so much fun!! Abbey was the number one girl all week and I think she was a little overwhelmed with all the attention, but she warmed up after a few days. It was great to spend time with my mom and dad, the week went by WAY too fast! They were here over Abbey's birthday, so we had another little party.
This is Daddy's gift for Abbey. Eric has been waiting since the day we found out we were having a baby to get a basketball hoop (and a mitt, and a bat, and a football, and anything else sporty...) Abbey likes to play with the ball, but it still too little to throw it up in the air.
I gave Abbey some twin baby dolls and she loves them! She was hugging them, kissing them, rocking them, biting them, choking them, patting them, and dragging them around everywhere. It was really cute to watch her play.
These are some of the fun things she got - thanks everyone!

This is us celebrating Abbey's birthday - my parents treated us to a fantastic meal at the Bonefish Grill. Thanks mom and dad!! We loved having you here and miss you already!
