New Place

I know I am still behind on posting things that we have been up to, but I wanted to share this good bit of news. Eric found a new place for us to live in Wisconsin! When I say a "new" place, I mean brand spankin' new! The owners are still finishing up things as I type. How great is that? I don't have to clean up someone else's nasty, stinky, disgusting mess!!! You have no idea how happy that makes me! The only drawback is that it is a duplex. I really had my heart set on a house, but there is nothing available right now and you can't beat brand new! I am off to Wisconsin on Tuesday and I am really excited, anxious and sad all at the same time. Our trip to Utah has been so much fun and it will be hard to leave. I wish I had pctures to post of the new place, but you'll just have to wait!

Some of the best times...

I really hate to do this post because I feel like it is somehow going to make leaving Ohio more real. I still feel like I am on vacation and I will be coming back to Ohio when it's over. I know that's not going to happened, and it makes me really sad! I made so many good friends and some really, really great friends! I wish I had more pictures to share, but I am such a loser and missed out on so many picture opportunities!
Some of the best friends a girl could ever ask for: Margo, Tonya and Angie
This was last big GNO and it was a blast! I am going to miss you guys so much! I don't think I am ever going to have this many good friends again at the same time. Thanks for all the fun times and great memories!

R&R

Eric and I were able to take a little anniversary/graduation vacation and it was fantastic!! I was really worried and anxious to leave our girls for a whole week, but it ended up being a really good thing for all of us. Thank you so much to our family for helping with the girls so we could do this - we love you very much!

We went to one of my favorite vacation spots of all time... SAN DIEGO! I love the place! I have been many, many times and I just can't get enough. I needed this vacation and it was great to kick back and relax! The first day there we went down to the beach and went body boarding. This is one of our favorite things to do. The water was freezing and it wasn't very warm outside, but I toughed it out. The rest of the days we were there were kinda cold and misty so we never got back in the water, but we walked along the beaches almost everyday - so relaxing! We went to Seaport Village one night and got some yummy Ben & Jerry's ice cream (yum!) We tried to go to Balboa Park one day, we got all way there, got out of the car and up the the shuttle station, then decided not to go because it was cold. I know, lame huh? I guess we will go next time. Here are a few more highlights...
This is La Jolla. We have never come here before and it was really cool. There were some neat tide pools with lots of yucky crabs and weird buggy things crawling all over.
We went to a Padres game one night. For those of you who know Eric, you know he loves baseball so we definately couldn't pass up a MLB game! We had a great time and Petco Park is really nice! This is a picture of the "beachers." You can see the sand box and the bottom of the bleachers for the kids to play in - genius!
This is Eric's dream office! Just kidding. This is an old dental office in Old Town. This is always a highlight for me when we go to San Diego, I love walking around all the little shops even though everything is mostly junk. The best part is the fresh tortillas you can buy on the street. My favorite - cinnamon tortillas with loads of melted butter (I am drooling!)

We spent four nights in San Diego then we moved on Las Vegas for three nights. I love Vegas for one reason - buffets! All the other stuff is kinda like - been there, seen that. Eric and I were surprised at how dirty it was. I mean, I know it's Sin City, but we couldn't even look down at the sidewalk for 2 seconds because there were those nasty handouts all over the place! I was also surprised at how many little kids were there. Honestly, what is there to do in Vegas with little kids that you couldn't do somewhere else? Nothing really, right? Personally, I don't want my little girls around all that stuff, and the smokey casinos are yucky and stinky. We would have loved to go see a show, but we didn't really think it was worth the money so we just ate at a few buffets instead (I'm drooling again!) It was a great relaxing vacation and I want to go back - now!

Congrats Babe!

I am WAY behind on posting, so I thought I would do a little catching up (this is for you Melissa:)

Eric graduated from dental school on June 8th and we could not be happier! It is such a relief to be done and moving on to the next step in life. I am so proud of you babe! I can't believe how fast 4 years of school went by, although Eric would probably not agree with that statement. It was such a hard, wonderful, stressful, demanding, fun time in our lives!

Congrats! I love ya!

The actual graduation ceremony was not very fun. My girls were little stinkers and the ushers were very rude with us. It was not a kid friendly graduation, there was no where to go with them, and there were tons of kids out in the foyer! I left my girls screaming and crying with my parents so I could run in and snap some shots when Eric walked across the stage, that was about all I saw of graduation. Oh well, that was the most important part anyway.

Here are some of the guys Eric graduated with. Don't they look so manly and doctorly in lavender?

We were able to get together with two of our best friends that went to school with Eric and have a little graduation bash. It was so nice to spend one last night with some great friends! Thanks Tonya and Angie for all the work you did for the party, it was so fun!!!

There has been a lot of stress in our lives these last few months. Let's recap shall we... We were offered a job in Utah with a family friend and we were so excited to be coming back to live near family, but the more we got into it, the more we realized that it wasn't really what we wanted (as far as the job went). I was really let down and depressed that we weren't moving to Utah. Eric started looking at other options and we decided to go with a corporate dental group. They offered us a job in Wisconsin and Eric flew there for an interview. He loved the area and was excited about the job, but there were a few hang ups... Without going into too much detail (because it's really long and hairy) Eric took the wrong exam to get into Wisconsin and we wouldn't be able to get licensed until he took some additional tests which he could only schedule on certain dates. There is a really long story that goes along with the whole additional testing too, but I will spare you. So, the company Eric hired on with was going to put us in Iowa until we could get licensed in Wisconsin. We weren't sure how long we were going to be in Iowa and I wasn't sure if I was going to move to Iowa with Eric or stay with my family in Utah for a while. We just didn't want to uproot our girls over and over because the move has been really hard on them. Anyway... about 3 weeks ago we found out that Wisconsin changed their licensing laws and they were going to accept the WREB (the test Eric took) and we would be able to get licensed there! YAY!!! I have been stressing and worrying about what we were going to do and everything just fell into place! Eric will be driving out next week and looking for a house. Once he finds something, I will fly out with the girls. Everyone cross your fingers he finds something fast!!
